How to Get PAN Card Reactivated?
- Write letter to the Income Tax department addressing your jurisdictional Assessing Officer for reactivation of your PAN
- Enclose the following documents along with the above letter:
- Indemnity Bond favoring the IT-department
- Copy of PAN on which the IT-return is being filed regularly
- Copy of last three years IT-returns filed on the deactivated PAN
Note: The entire reactivation process might take 10-15 days once the letter is submitted to the IT department.
What to do if PAN is deactivated, online portal login is blocked and you have received online intimation or mail with regards to cash deposits as a part of demonetization drive?
As mentioned above the reactivation of PAN takes almost 10-15 days so it is advisable to approach your jurisdictional Assessing Officer and respond to the IT departments’ letter manually. However once your PAN is reactivated, the same response needs to be filed online as well for future evidence.
